Sarasota Bay
Watershed Improvements
Funds will support upsizing approximately 2,400 linear feet of existing stormwater pipes, thereby improving the system's capability to handle large volumes of runoff and reduce the incidence of flooding. This project aims to address challenges by enhancing the capacity of the current stormwater management system and includes the installation of a nutrient-separating baffle box. The project will aim to alleviate flooding, significantly enhance the quality of water entering Whitaker Bayou, protect the environmental health of the Sarasota Bay Watershed and ensure the resilience of local water bodies.
