Infrastructure and Public Facilities Program

Funds will support the widening and elevation of approximately four miles of existing two-lane, undivided South River Road from U.S. 41 to Winchester Boulevard.

Improvements include four 12-foot-wide through lanes within a rural divided roadway section, inside and outside shoulders, a grassed median, updated turn lanes, new or improved intersections/roundabouts, pedestrian and bicycle trails/sidewalks, drainage and stormwater improvements, floodplain compensation areas, lighting, landscaping, signing and pavement markings and utility relocations.
